Zero Tolerance Policy
Embrace maintains a strict zero tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behavior of any kind. Users who post, share, or engage in content that is harmful, harassing, hateful, threatening, or otherwise objectionable will be removed from the platform, with or without prior notice, at the sole discretion of the Embrace administration team.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Embrace platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including clinicians, supervisors, administrators, and any other individuals who access the platform.
2. Description of Service
Embrace is a professional development and peer support platform designed for clinicians and recovery professionals in the substance use disorder (SUD) and behavioral health fields. The Service includes learning modules, community forums, direct messaging, peer coaching, supervision tools, and related features.
3. Zero Tolerance for Objectionable Content & Abusive Behavior
Embrace enforces a zero tolerance policy for the following:
- Harassment, bullying, or intimidation of any user
- Hate speech based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic
- Threatening, violent, or menacing language or content
- Sexual harassment or unwanted advances
- Spam, repeated unsolicited messages, or commercial solicitation
- Sharing false or deliberately misleading clinical information
- Posting personally identifiable information about others without consent
- Any content that is obscene, explicit, or otherwise inappropriate for a professional healthcare context
- Impersonating another user, clinician, or organization
- Any other conduct that degrades the safety, professionalism, or integrity of the community
Violation of this policy may result in immediate suspension or permanent removal from the platform, at the sole discretion of Embrace administrators. No refunds will be issued for accounts terminated due to policy violations.
4. User Conduct
Users of the Embrace platform agree to:
- Treat all other users with respect and professionalism
- Use the platform only for its intended professional development purposes
- Maintain the confidentiality of clients and protect all PHI in accordance with HIPAA
- Report objectionable content or behavior using the in-platform reporting tools
- Keep login credentials confidential and not share account access
- Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws
5. Content Ownership & Licensing
You retain ownership of any content you post to the platform. By posting content, you grant Embrace a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content within the platform for the purpose of providing the Service. You represent that you have the right to share any content you post and that it does not violate the rights of any third party.
6. Reporting & Moderation
Embrace provides in-platform tools for users to report objectionable content or abusive behavior. We encourage users to use these tools to help maintain a safe community. Reports are reviewed by Embrace administrators, who have the authority to:
- Remove any content that violates these Terms
- Suspend or terminate user accounts
- Issue warnings or require acknowledgment of Terms
- Escalate to legal authorities where required by law
7. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Intellectual Property
All platform content created by Embrace — including but not limited to learning modules, assessments, tools, branding, and course materials — is the intellectual property of Embrace and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without express written permission.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Embrace does not warrant that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted. Clinical content on the platform is for professional development purposes only and does not constitute clinical advice or supervision.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Embrace shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if Embrace has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
11. Termination
Embrace reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, including — but not limited to — violation of these Terms. You may also terminate your account at any time by contacting support. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the applicable laws of the state in which Embrace operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
13. Changes to These Terms
Embrace reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of material changes. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
